Activity #8 - Status Post

How is everything going for everyone?  Take a minute to post a comment with a status update.  Have you accomplished anything this week?  Are you disappointed with your progress?  Have you gone above and beyond your goals?

Personally, I haven't accomplished much.  I finally finished THE SECRET UNDER MY SKIN, but I haven't had a chance to straighten any bookshelves. I think I've made progress with my new puppy though.

I look forward to hearing what you guys have done so far.

I've accomplished most of my goals so far. The girls' rooms are switched out and their bookshelves are purged of most of the picture books. My niece, Fiona(2yrs) was thrilled when we showed up with books in hand yesterday. I will finish reading a third book for the week today and one was a book club pick so I can check more goals off the list. I did not buy a book shelf for our bedroom yet but that was the least of my worries and it's only Friday. I have a few days left!

Hope you're enjoying your time with little Max.

I haven't had a lot of time to read this week :( Last weekend, I went on a trip to Indiana. I read a little on the plane, but it's kind of hard when you know 40 other people on the plane and a hot British guy sits next to you. This week I have had finals! Uggh. That definitely put a damper on my reading schedule. I did get my haircut this week, but I really needed it. I haven't had a haircut in over a year! Today's my last final, so I will have time to read after it. Hopefully I can finish a book today (:

I'm about 1200 words away from my 5,000 word goal for my work in progress. And if I do just what I did yesterday, 600 words during naptime, and another 600 after Small Child goes to bed, I'll meet my goal for writing.

As for finishing the book I'm reading, I'm about 100 pages from the end. I should be able to finish it today or tomorrow.

Also, I've managed to squeeze in more time in my schedule to do a little house cleaning and to spend more quality time with Small Child.

So, I think it's a win!

My progress needed a blog post. You can see it here. It has been that kind of week.

I feel like I'm just starting! I am hoping to knock through books like crazy this weekend - I've read... *counts* about 3 and will finish two or three today. :) I have a four day weekend so I'm getting my butt into gear.

Facebook games have been distracting though...

I'm doing a decent job accomplishing my goals. I kept it simple and I just wanted to get through 2-3 books. I just finished book #2 and I'll be starting book 3 later. School has been occupying most of my time though, so I don't think I'll be able to organize my books due to a few powerpoints that I NEED to do.

After yesterday's activity, I am on par with my goal. I just wanted to participate in all of the activities, but I forgot to post for number one about my goal. I am really enjoying this challenge and glad that I signed up.

I've been reading a lot this week, but I didn't finish my book club book, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. I'm just not in the mood for anything serious or depressing, and that one definitely fits both of those. I did get the Gorgon finished and dropped off all of my art for Biting the Apple. I haven't done anything big around the house, but I knew that wasn't going to happen. :)
